New Prague High School Activities

Dakota Becerra was offered, and accepted, the Head Boys Swim and Dive Coach position at New Prague High School (pending board approval). 

Dakota was born and raised in Orange County, California. She attended Esperanza High School and competed in Swim, Water Polo, Cross Country, and Track and Field. She went on to attend Saint Mary's University of Minnesota where she continued her Swim and Dive career and graduated from Saint Mary's University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Biology and minors in Chemistry and Environmental Sustainability. 

Dakota began her coaching career at Winona Senior High School as the Boys Dive Coach for the 2021-2022 season. She then became a volunteer coach for the New Prague High School Boys Swim and Dive team during the 2022-2023 season. Dakota has a new found passion for coaching and cannot wait to start. She is very excited to be a part of the Trojan team and hopes to impact this program in a positive way. 

Dakota currently lives in Jordan and works as the general manager at Ferguson's Minnesota Harvest. She began competing in triathlons this summer and loves being outside with her dog.
