Erik Feehan was offered, and accepted, the Head Strength & Conditioning Coaching position at New Prague High School (pending board approval). Erik was born and raised in Rochester, Minnesota where he graduated from John Marshall High School. Erik did not discover a passion for health and fitness until his first year at Rochester Community and Technical College. Erik graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science Education in May of 2017. Prior to being in the education program, Erik spent time as a Pre-Med major with a focus in Exercise Science.
This is Erik’s second year of teaching. He spent his first year in Springfield, Minnesota teaching 7th and 10th grade life science at Springfield High School. During his time in Springfield, Erik was the strength and conditioning coach and helped to implement a strength and conditioning program for all athletes. Along with the program, Erik also assisted in the weight room being remodeled and upgrading the equipment. Erik’s focus as strength and conditioning coach is to improve athletic performance and reduce athletic-related injuries. Through innovative programming and energetic coaching, all athletes in New Prague will have an opportunity to better themselves.
Erik and his fiance, Ashley, currently reside in New Prague. Erik will be teaching 8th grade science at New Prague Middle School and Ashley is a special education teacher at New Prague High School. Their wedding is in July of 2019. In addition to teaching and coaching, Erik enjoys bodybuilding, fishing, reading, and playing golf.
