The cost per activity is $300.00.  Skeet and Trap are the offered activities.  The fee covers the cost of cases of ammo, clay targets and uniforms.  We shoot twice a week, Thursdays and Saturdays, for a total of 100 rounds per week.  A $400.00 raffle fund raiser is also required.  We do a gun raffle requiring each family to sell 20 tickets at $20.00 a piece.  Payment is made up front but checks are not cashed until just before the drawing.  Please see the parent meeting tab for more information located just to the right.

The New Prague Clay Target Club is a public charity organized to support the High School's Trap Team which offers an opportunity for students to earn a letter in the sport of trapshooting.  The New Prague Clay Target Club exists to provide a positive and supportive educational - athletic organization that introduces school-age youth to clay target sports and facilitates their continued involvement by providing, promoting, and perpetuating opportunities to safely and enjoyably participate and compete in a high-quality, team based sport led by trained adult coaches focused on enhancing the personal growth and development of their athletes.  The coaching staff is familiar with the many theories and techniques of shooting but more importantly they are passionate about coaching and helping athletes achieve their personal best.

Age 12 and up

In 2019 New Prague finished in 3rd place in Class 7A at the Minnesota Clay Target League State Tournament, 1st place at the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament, and 8th place at the Clay Target League National Tournament! 

In spring 2019 New Prague also won the Minnesota Clay Target League State Skeet Championship for Class 1A!

Each spring the New Prague Trap Team participates in MSHSCTLTM competition and the team also pursues additional competition opportunities for those interested.  No experience is required, however, participants must have a firearms safety certificate and satisfy NPHS academic standing requirements.

The MSHSCTL competition includes conference competition (Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Novice) followed by a statewide Class state Championship.  TRUE TEAMTM scoring applies to all competition.

2021 New Prague Trap Team

All sign up is done through Campus Portal.  Athlete must be attending either New Prague Middle School (12 years old) or New Prague High School.  This sport is offered to 6-12 grade and is Coed!!
