Ali Jo Hoffman is a New Prague native, where she attended grade school and graduated from New Prague High School in 2013. During her time at NPHS, she played for four years as a Trojan with both the girls’ softball and the girls’ soccer programs, where she was a two time captain, as well as played in the high school band and danced for a local dance company.

After high school, Hoffman attended Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, where she was involved in many extracurricular activities, including playing four years of softball for the Gusties, and held a 4-year membership in the Gustavus Wind Orchestras. Hoffman graduated from GAC in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and a minor in music, and completed her Master’s of Education degree from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in April of 2021.

After her graduation from Gustavus, Hoffman spent her first year as a long term/reserve substitute teacher at TCU and NPAS, before accepting a full time position in New Prague. This fall will be Hoffman’s fifth year teaching 6th Grade Science at New Prague Middle School, as well as her sixth season coaching in the girls soccer program. Previously, Hoffman coached in both the NPHS and youth softball programs for a number of years. Hoffman additionally coaches youth soccer for the New Prague Soccer Club and aside from coaching, she enjoys spending time with her family/friends, traveling, running and being outdoors. Hoffman resides in Chaska and is recently engaged to her fiance Paul.

Steve Kehrli

Coach Kehrli started coaching girls New Prague Trojan Soccer when the soccer program started  in 2006, and will be coaching the B-Squad this season. He also coaches Middle School 8th Grade Basketball and Middle School Boys Tennis. Kehrli was born in Clearfield, Utah and lived in Oakland, California before coming to Bloomington, Minnesota where he graduated from Bloomington Jefferson High School in 1987. He then attended Colorado State University and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in Mathematics and teaching licenses in 7-12 Mathematics and Coaching in 1991. Kehrli has taught at various schools in California and Minnesota, before settling in at New Prague Middle School as an Algebra and Geometry teacher. Kehrli and his wife, Diane, reside in New Prague where their two children graduated from New Prague High School.
