Shawn Brandt became the girls' head coach in 2013. Prior to that, he was the middle school cross-country and track coach from 2002-2012. Brandt grew up in Redwood Falls, MN and graduated from Redwood Falls-Morton High School in 1989. He earned All-State cross-country honors three times and two times in track. Attending Bemidji State University, Brandt ran and met his wife on the cross-country and track team. 

As an educator, Brandt earned his master's degree in Technology Education, taught middle school Tech Ed for nine years, and currently serves as the Director of Technology Integration. Shawn and his wife, Kara, live in New Prague with their three children: Morgan, Adam, and Rachel.

Nick Meyer has been the boys head coach for both cross-country and track since 2007.  Prior to that, he was an assistant in both programs dating back to 2002.  Meyer was born and raised in Northfield, Minnesota and graduated from Northfield High School in 1997.  That fall, Nick enrolled at St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota and studied to be a teacher.  Nick also competed in cross country and track and field for all four years at SJU.  In 2001, he graduated with a B.A. in social sciences and education.  In 2005, he earned his M.Ed. in teaching and learning from St. Mary’s University and he added a certification in gifted and talented education in 2007. 

Meyer has taught at New Prague Middle School since the 2001-2002 school year. 

Nick and his wife Laura live in New Prague with their three children: Alex, Sam, and Ben.
