New Prague High School Activities

The 2015-2016 season will be Coach Peterson’s fourth year with New Prague Girls hockey and third season as the Head Coach.  Prior to New Prague, Coach Peterson served as the Assistant Women’s Hockey Coach at Gustavus Adolphus College for four seasons.  Peterson is a graduate of White Bear Lake High School where she played tennis, hockey and softball prior to completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Health and Physical Education at Gustavus Adolphus College.  As a player and coach at Gustavus her team appeared in Eight National Championships and five Final Four appearances.  She currently is teaching Physical Education at Twin Oaks Middle School in Prior Lake and resides in Lakeville. 

This will be Coach Kevin Morrissey’s sixth year as the girls’ varsity hockey assistant coach for New Prague High School. Coach Morrissey has spent the past five years as head JV and assistant varsity coach for the Shakopee girls’ high school hockey program. Morrissey is a 1993 graduate of Burnsville High School and played a year of Junior Hockey in the USHL prior to completing his Bachelor of Business Administration degree and playing 4 years of college hockey at University of Wisconsin-Stout. He is also a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls completing his Bachelor of Health and Human Performance degree and his Masters degree in Education Leadership from Minnesota State University-Mankato in 2007. He has been teaching Physical Education at Gideon Pond Elementary in Burnsville since 2003. Kevin resides with his wife, Michelle, and two daughters, Gabi and Mia, in Savage.

Coach Dillner will be entering his 3rd year as the Head JV Girls' Hockey at New Prague High School. He is a 2005 graduate from Mounds View High School and earned his Bachelor degree in Animal Science & Coaching from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. In addition, Coach Dillner received his Master's Degree in Education from Bethel University in 2015. Ryan is a 6th Grade Science teacher at NPMS where he also coaches 8th Grade Football & 7th Grade Baseball. On his free time, he is an avid fisherman and enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors.

The 2015-2016 season will be Coach Drazan’s fourth year with New Prague Girls hockey.  Prior to coaching with the High School, Coach Drazan coached with the New Prague Youth Association at all levels.  Drazan is a graduate of New Prague High School prior to completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education at Minnesota State University, Mankato.  He is currently teaching at 5th grade Eagleview Elementary in Elko New Market, part of the New Prague School District and lives in New Prague.
